Oro (Spanish for "gold") is a rich, barrel-aged cane spirit designed for depth and complexity. Batch 3 spent 19 months maturing, part in a new American oak barrique and part in a recoopered ex-bourbon cask. This spirit showcases the perfect balance of molasses sweetness with enticing green apple, followed by coffee, chocolate, and caramel, leading to a dry, medium-length finish. The Maillard reaction shines through, enhancing its complexity.
The virgin oak barrel adds a strong woody influence, while the rum’s true molasses character remains front and centre. Oro proudly reflects its small-batch pot distillation process and the sustainable, locally sourced molasses from the Tweed Shire.

Extremally smooth! Notes of toasted oaked, roasted nuts with a hint of caramel. A great all-rounder to use instead of a typical rum. Great in a cocktail or enjoy on the rocks.
