Oro may be barrel-aged yet she's young at heart. Batch 2 is a single-barrel release that's been aged for 8 months in a re-charred, 115-litre, ex-bourbon barrel. Its molasses-based profile features notes of raisins, banana and caramel, with a dry, medium finish.
This second batch strikes a beautiful balance between a vibrant unaged cane spirit and one refined through time. It's fresh, light and lively. There is oak at play, but the spirit still shines through, showcasing its small-batch pot distillation and the sustainable, locally-sourced molasses from which it is carefully handcrafted.
Oro was honoured with a Bronze Medal in the Australian Distilled Spirit Awards 2022 and the inaugural Australian Rum Awards 2022 -- excellent accolades for this craft distillery's first barrel release!

According to the 1901 Excise Act, in Australia 'rum' must be aged in wood for a minimum of two years before it can be defined 'rum'. Oro is an aged cane spirit.

What a beautiful spiced drop. Depending on my mood I’ll drink it neat, on the rocks or with a juice mixer. Either way it’s stunning & very moreish. I love it & it will become a staple in my home bar
Extremally smooth! Notes of toasted oaked, roasted nuts with a hint of caramel. A great all-rounder to use instead of a typical rum. Great in a cocktail or enjoy on the rocks.
