Oro (Spanish for 'gold') may be barrel-aged, but she's young at heart. Batch 2, a single-barrel release, spent eight months maturing in a re-charred, 115-litre ex-bourbon barrel. The result is a molasses-based spirit with enticing notes of raisins, banana, and caramel, leading to a dry, medium-length finish.

This second batch strikes a harmonious balance—vibrant and fresh like an unaged cane spirit, yet subtly refined by time in oak. The barrel lends its influence, but the spirit's true character shines through. Oro proudly reflects its small-batch pot distillation process and the sustainable, locally-sourced molasses from which it is crafted with care.

Recognised for its quality and craftsmanship, Oro was awarded a Bronze Medal at the 2022 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards and the inaugural Australian Rum Awards—a remarkable achievement for Soltera Rum's first barrel release.

Enjoy Oro's light, lively, and dynamic profile however you choose—straight, on the rocks, or as the hero in a creative cocktail.

Please enjoy responsibly. Drink less, drink better!

Absolutely stunning

What a beautiful spiced drop. Depending on my mood I’ll drink it neat, on the rocks or with a juice mixer. Either way it’s stunning & very moreish. I love it & it will become a staple in my home bar

Amazing Spirit

Extremally smooth! Notes of toasted oaked, roasted nuts with a hint of caramel. A great all-rounder to use instead of a typical rum. Great in a cocktail or enjoy on the rocks.
