Rum Paloma

For a more island-style approach to the classic Paloma, it's time to go rogue and swap out the tequila for rum.

Soltera Rum Paloma
  • 30ml Soltera Rum Blanc
  • 120ml CAPI Grapefruit soda or fresh squeezed grapefruit juice with soda
  • Squeeze of fresh lime

Pour Blanco over ice in a tall glass, top with grapefruit soda and a squeeze of fresh lime.

 

Painkiller 

A twist on the classic Piña Colada, the Painkiller is slightly less rich and super sessionable.

  • 60ml Soltera Rum Blanco or Oro
  • 120ml pineapple juice
  • 30ml orange juice
  • 30ml coconut cream (Coco Lopez)
  • garnish with freshly ground nutmeg

Add the rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and cream of coconut to a shaker with cubed ice and shake vigorously but briefly to combine. Strain or pour with ice.

Passionfruit Mojito

Prepare for a flavour explosion. You may as well double the recipe now because one is never enough.

Soltera Rum with Mojito
  • 60ml Soltera Rum Blanco
  • Pulp from 1 fresh passion fruit
  • 120ml pineapple juice
  • 30ml club soda
  • 1 slice of fresh ginger
  • 4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime thickly sliced
  • 1 - 1/2 tsp of raw cane sugar

Muddle ginger, mint leaves, lime, sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add Blanco, passion fruit pulp, pineapple juice, a handful of crushed ice and shake well. Serve in a highball glass, top with soda and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

 

Dark 'n' Stormy

The Dark ’n' Stormy is a delicious, easy-to-make cocktail that features a refreshing trio of dark rum, ginger beer and lime. 

Light and breezy cocktails

  • 30ml Soltera Rum Oro
  • 120ml ginger beer
  • squeeze of fresh lime

First pour Oro over a handful of ice in a glass, slowly add ginger beer and garnish with a wedge of lime.
